Ever wanted to know where a designer’s inspiration comes from and how they get from sketch to stitch? Look no further! We spoke with Kate Hinton, a designer at Kurt Geiger to find out more about the SS16 women’s collection.
This season, the quintessential footwear for summer, flatforms are an elevated shoe with an avant-garde aspect that add length to your silhouette. Whether you’re wearing them to work, a poolside or out for an evening, they are a must-have statement accessory that can give any outfit instant chic confidence. From sandals to trainers and brogues, we’ve got you covered.
“As an essential shape, we have looked to Seoul to inspire us for our flatform styles ‘Lucky’ and ‘Lover’. We start our developments creating trends that are reflective of what is currently happening both in fashion and our surrounding environment. Our colour palette and initial images created a youthful sports vibe with candy pinks and graphic slogans which give personality and new identity to our range. The fun fur bands and graphic slogans are key ideas from this fantastic city where fun meets femininity in a cool and casual way.” Says Kate.
Seriously, think about it. The raised bottom will elongate your legs, while the chunky detail gives your feet support allowing your toes to twinkle freely.
