Shades of Green & Grey Arguably the easiest hues to dip your toes into

Usually the warmer months invite an explosion of colour on the catwalks - but for Spring-Summer 2016 designers took on a more subdued palette with grey and green topping the list as the most widely-seen hues. Sure, they’re colours that most men have in their wardrobe already, but this season it's all about how you wear them.

Grey is quickly becoming one of the most popular colours for menswear. It may not sound like the most fashion-forward trend, but grey has made a big impact on the runways. It’s a great colour to wear all year round, but for this spring/ summer you can wear loose fitting tees and trousers to have a more airy and cool feel.

Green has made a massive comeback over the past few seasons with brands even showcasing all green looks. As ever, military influences continue to march right alongside menswear, with shades of army green (from dark olive to light khaki) spotted in many collections. But this season saw the colour spectrum widen further, with hues like bottle green at and jade proving green is far and away one of SS16’s key colours.

Arguably the easiest hues to dip your toes into, try showing your style by wearing head-to-toe green or grey. While all-over neutrals work best with subtle differences in colour and texture, you’ll want to clearly clash shades to strike the right balance.

Beginners should clash hues using accessories (such as shoes or bags), but for next level menswear points commit with a few contrasting pieces that you can wear together.
